Today I want to talk about the word “revolution”

Depending on our life story, or where we are in the world, we might have very different associations with this word

So it’s important to know that when I use this word, I never, ever mean the violent kind of revolution

Whenever I use this word, I mean it literally — as in, the earth does a revolution around the sun once a year

It’s a complete turnaround.

And this is what we need from work, a complete turnaround

Right now, no matter what human metric you look at, the way we work is a mess

Almost 90% of us are not passionate about work

2/3rds of us experience burnout at work

Over 80% of us say stress impacts us negatively at work

94% of us say we’ve been bullied in some fashion at work

ALL these numbers need a complete turnaround

THIS is the revolution I’m talking about

Here’s the thing…

Humans just like you and me designed the way we work now

So let’s design something different

Right now is our moment

We can remake the world of work in a way that’s more fair and just, more transparent and loving.

See you next time.
